Olivia is an Emmy-nominated documentary filmmaker based in Oakland, California.
Her work focuses on social justice narratives and examining the crucial roles of art, music, and the environment. Her videos have been recognized by Vimeo Staff Picks, Short of the Week, the Atlantic Selects and the Gracies. Her recent directorial collaborations with The Center for Investigative Reporting earned her the 2018 National Murrow Award for Investigative Reporting, a 2018 News and Documentary Emmy nomination for New Approaches in Arts, Lifestyle and Culture and 2018 SPJ NorCal Excellence in Journalism in the Video Portfolio category.
Most recently, her film Quilt Fever about a competitive quilt show in Kentucky premiered at AFI Docs in June 2019.
